    Conductor cross-section requirements

    Cable joints shall accommodate copper conductors from 25 mm² to 630 mm² per IEC 60502-2, Table 4.

    Recommend tightening lower bound to 35 mm² to align with current procurement spec.

    Insulation testing — partial discharge

    Partial discharge testing shall be performed at 1.73 × Uo with a maximum permissible level of 5 pC.

    Mechanical pull test

    Joints must withstand a longitudinal pull of 30 N/mm² of conductor area for 1 hour.
